Cannondale-Garmin went into Milan-Sareno hoping to set Ramunas Navarduskas up for the sprint. However, the team came up short as Sebastian Langeveld was the best finisher in 14th.
"It was a demanding day - very cold and wet," sports director Fabrizio Guidi said. "The team was great. I saw team spirit and commitment. If we keep working with these values we will get great results. Sebastian was really close to top ten today in the first monument of the year. We have many reasons to hope a result is coming in the upcoming Classics campaign."
