After an “unfortunate” 2014 season where he was often injured, Rinaldo Nocentini hopes to start afresh in 2015. The Italian puncheur hopes particular to shine in the one-day races like Milan-San Remo, Strade Bianche or the Ardennes, but also Tirreno-Adriatico. The wearer of the yellow jersey in the Tour de France in 2009 explained all this to Cyclism'Actu.
"I have not had any luck in 2014. I had a good start but I hurt my shoulder in April. The end of the season and preparation for 2015 went well. The Tour de San Luis resumed the race pace, the feelings were good, it's good to do a lot of miles," he said. "The main objectives are the Strade Bianche, Tirreno, San Remo, the classics and the Giro with Betancur and Pozzovivo."
Nocentini also spoke about his teammates Jean-Christophe Péraud and Romain Bardet: "If Jean-Christophe did better than last year, it means that he would win the Tour. Jean-Christophe can confirm himself in 2015, Romain is young and can do even better than in 2014.”
