Rinaldo Nocentini suffered a left scapula fracture after a crash in the last Vuelta al Pais Vasco and yesterday he underwent surgery yesterday in Italy.

 

“The operation lasted 5 hours but everything went well," he said. "My shoulder was still very painful last night but this morning I’m feeling much better. Normally, I should leave the hospital this afternoon. It is expected that I stop for ten days before starting rehabilitation.

 

"I hope to slowly get back on the  home trainer within two weeks, it depends on how the injury is healing. Today, it is difficult to precisely say when I will get back into competition.”
