After back-to-back stage wins Director Sportif Andreas Klier and his Green Argyle troops kept the week’s momentum rolling with more aggressive racing and Klier tapped Lasse Hansen and Kristoffer Skjerping to go for the breakaways. In the end it was Hansen riding away solo from a three-rider break for an impressive solo win.

“This result means a lot to me,” said Hansen. “It’s my first ever professional win, and the whole buildup to it this week just makes it feel even better.”

Hansen said: “Racing in today’s conditions was hard,” he said. “I don’t know if I’ve ever been this cold before.

"Approximately two kilometres to go, I got the report that I had won the stage, the peloton had done a wrong turn. I would have liked to have finished the race in a proper way, and I’m pretty sure I would have made it to the line anyway but I’m satisfied – a win is a win.”

“Lasse was the strongest of that group, that’s for sure,” said Klier. “It was an incredibly strong ride from him,” said Klier. “I chose Lasse and Kristofer to be in the group and they didn’t miss one break attempt — it was very impressive from both.”

Back in the peloton the team rode strong for points leader Tom-Jelte Slagter. “The team was great all day,” said Klier. “They were around Slagter all the time.”

With one stage to go the team is very happy with the wins. “We’ve won three stages which is amazing,” said Klier. “It’s been a great week already with one more to go.”
