The young Norwegian talents continue to attract the big teams. After Amund Grondahl Jansen signed a contract with LottoNL-Jumbo, and the Sky, QuickStep, Sunweb and LottoNL-Jumbo are trying to sign U23 world champion Kristoffer Halvorsen for 2018, another young Norwegian is currently negotiating with Astana.
Procycling.no reports that Truls Korsæth was invited to a training camp with the Kazakh team a few days ago. The winner of the first stage of the 2016 Tour de Gironde surprised pleasantly and even though nothing has been confirmed, the Norwegian site believes that the 23-year-old will join Astana in 2018 for his debut in the WorldTour.
Korsæth delivered a massive surprise at the Worlds when he made it into the first group in the windy desert and then worked for Alexander Kristoff right until the very end of the race. For now, he hasdecided to continue at the continental level in Team Joker for the fifth consecutive year.
