Sven Nys will retire in exactly one year at the Sportpaleis Antwerp. On March 5, 2016, the Belgian will be at a special event with a few fellow riders to say goodbye to the sport.

Earlier, Nys had already announced that the next cyclocross season will be his last year as a pro. Until now, however, it was unknown how he would leave the sport. It is no surprise that he has chosen the Sportpaleis. The venuu has room for around 23,000 spectators and it is expectated that all tickets for the "Merci Sven" event will be sold very quickly.
