Thijs van Amerongen has lost the Superprestige points he scored at the race in Gieren. The UCI decision reversed an earlier ruling by the organizers.
In early October Van Amerongsen was disqualified by the race jury because of an undeclared camera on his bike. The organizers of the race in Gieten still decided to award four points to Van Amerongen. Yesterday, during the Superprestige race in Zonhoven, it became clear that that decision was reversed by the global cycling union.
Van Amerongen scored three points in Zonhoven and is now in eighteenth place.
