ONE Pro Cycling will welcome August Jensen to the team for 2017. The 25 year old from Bergen, Norway has shown an incredible amount of talent while racing on the Norwegian Domestic scene and will make the move from Team Coop – OsterHus where he has spent the last four years of his career.

A very driven individual, Jensen has had some great results at UCI level, with standout performances including winning the King of the Mountains jersey at the Arctic Race Tour of Norway in 2014 and 2015, along with an impressive 10th on the overall General Classification earlier this year.

Commenting on the signing Jensen said:

“There were several factors that drew me towards the team. As well as looking very professional and well structured, I know that ONE Pro Cycling have high ambitions regarding next season and seasons to come, including an interesting calendar with races around the world. I’m excited to be taking this step up in my career with a British team, I believe my understanding and knowledge of the English language and ethics will help me work better with the staff and riders both on and off the bike. Since I started cycling, my dream has been to one day turn professional and I am both very happy and proud that ONE Pro Cycling has given me this chance.”

Head DS Matt Winston is excited to welcome the first Norwegian rider to ONE Pro Cycling:

“I really believe August is a great fit for the team. He has impressed me through the season, chipping away at results and consistently performing. His result in the Tour of Norway where he came third on stage 5 was a particular stand out for me after a long race in difficult conditions and is a credit to the hard work August has put in. He’s a dynamic rider that I feel will slot in really well to our race programme.”
