Orica-GreenEDGE team has announced on Tuesday that it will no longer be a part of the Mouvment Pour un Cyclisme Credible (MPCC). Last year Lotto-Jumbo, Lampre-Merida and Bardiani decided to withdraw from the movement, while Astana's membership has been terminated after the Kazakh team allowed Lars Boom to ride the Tour de France despite his impermissibly low cortisol levels.
The MPCC currently consists of only eight WorldTour teams (Ag2r-La Mondiale, Cannondale Garmin, Dimension Data, FDJ, Team Giant-Alpecin, IAM Cycling, Katusha and Lotto-Soudal) and seventeen Pro Continental squads (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec, Bora-Argon 18, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, CCC Sprandi-Polkowice, Cofidis, Delko Marseille Provence KTM, Direct Energie, Drapac Pro Cycling, Fortuneo-Vital Concept, Gazprom-RusVelo, Team Novo Nordisk, Roompot-Oranje Peloton, Stolting Service Group, Topsport Vlaanderen-Baloise, United Healthcare, Nippo-Vini Fantini and Wanty-Groupe Gobert).

The Australian WorldTour team ORICA-GreenEDGE team has decided to end its membership of the MPCC group based on an evaluation of current initiatives and efforts made for a healthy sport.
“We would like to thank all the current and former members of the MPCC for the discussions and initiatives and for sincerely helping the sport move further in the right direction. We fully support the initiatives that have now become an integrated part of the rules of the sport. Going onwards, we will be a strong supporter of seeing these and other initiatives being further developed by the official organizations in collaboration with all the other teams and stakeholders of cycling”, says General Manager Shayne Bannan.
