Due to injuries, Daniel Oss was unable to do the cobbled classics in 2014. Now he hopes to return to his preferred races and aims at winning one of the prestigious races in 2015.

Daniel Oss has just finished his second season at BMC. In an interview with Trentino Corriere Alpi, the Italian looks back at his year.

"The balance is positive even though I lacked a personal victory,2 he said. "I started the season with an injury, which forced me to skip some races that were important to me, and I had to find new motivation and objectives. I got back into the game with the idea of never giving up and in the end I am satisfied with what I managed to do from a sporting perspective. I appreciate my performance. I did both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France with good results and performances and I had a good feeling in the team."

The Italian already has a good idea about his schedule for the 2015 season where he hopes to play an important role.

"I will return to the classics but I won't do the Giro d'Italia in 2015," he said. "I will focus on the Tour de France and then on the World Team Time Trial Championships where we will try to defend the title we won this year. In the spring, I will try to reach my best level and I would like to win something nice. I won't say that it has to be the Tour of Flanders which is the dream for all 200 riders at the start and perhaps the most difficult race of the entire calendar. A minor classics would be enough. Why not win a stage in Tirreno-Adriatico and then aim for a good Milan-Sanremo? At that point of the season, I want to have good legs and be able to play a role."
