BMC Racing Team's Daniel Oss prominently figured in the action again Wednesday at the Amgen Tour of California, while teammate Jempy Drucker joined him in finishing in the top 10.

Oss attacked the peloton just outside the final kilometer and enjoyed a small gap heading into the left-right-left turns in the final 500 meters of the 173.1-kilometer race. But Oss was overhauled on the uphill charge to the line won by Peter Sagan (Tinkoff-Saxo) ahead of Wouter Wippert (Drapac Professional Cycling) and Mark Cavendish (Etixx-Quick Step).

Drucker was in the top 10 for the second time, finishing seventh, while Oss was eighth a day after spending consecutive stages in the breakaway to earn the Amgen Breakaway from Cancer Most Courageous Rider jersey.

BMC Racing Team's Ben Hermans moved into the top 10 overall and – along with teammates Joey Rosskopf, Danilo Wyss and Manuel Senni – is 47 seconds off the lead with four stages to go. The solo winner of Tuesday's Stage 3, Toms Skujins (Hincapie Racing Team), remained the race leader.
