The Union Cycliste Internationale was not the most popular organization in the cycling world, and it is unlikely to settle the case. This is certainly the biggest blunder of the year to the UCI, maybe even in the history of this sport. While all sports should send their registration for the Paralympic Games in Tokyo in 2020,  the UCI has not sent its in time because of an administrative error. The result ? Cycling might not be part of the 23 sports.

Today, the UCI is still working to catch this incredible error: "The UCI remains fully committed to the promotion of the para-cycling, and expects much of its dialogue with the IPC (International Paralympic Committee) to help cycling through the continuous development of Paralympic Games." The question is whether this dialogue will help the cycling wheelchair to participate in the Paralympic Games. Response after 1 February 2015 meeting of the Governing Board of the IPC.
