Sergio Pardilla, who is one of the leaders at Caja Rural - Seguros RGA, goes into the 2016 season with great enthusiasm and an overwhelming desire to get back to feeling happy on the bike after a complicated 2015 during which he suffered serious injuries after a crash in the Tour of the Basque Country.

What Pardilla especially has shown during the years as a  professional, it is his great ability to overcome suffering and his full dedication to the sport of cycling. That was evident in 2015 when he was barely able to race due to his physical problems but he hopes to be the best Pardilla again in 2016.

"Right now I feel pretty good. Every day the improvements in my hand are noticeable and it seems to be on track. When it comes to the mental aspect, I am totally liberated and have already gotten into the routine of cycling after having left the bad months behind," he says in a press release from A&A Sport.

"I would like to thank everyone who has been interested in me during this time. Many people who have called me and sent messages. Some have even come to my house to show their interest in me. The team, the riders and others have behaved perfectly to me. I am immensely grateful to all of them."

Pardilla now look to 2016 with an approach like a young man full of enthusiasm. He wants to feel like a cyclist again and still has the experience of having competed in the best races on the international calendar. His big goal for next season will be to re-gain confidence and enjoy cycling.
