Sergio Pardilla of MTN-Qhubeka received a broken wrist for his troubles after a crash in stage 2 of Tirreno-Adriatico.

 

He had started stage 3 but dropped out due to the pain.

 

The Spanaird announced through Twitter that he had broken his wrist.

 

"Finally, a broken left wrist as a result of yesterday's crash. Thank you to everyone for the encouragement. I'll be back soon," Pardilla wrote.

 

He was part of the crash that also ended Jurgen van den Broeck’s Tirreno-Adriatico.
