Paris-Nice, the Race to the Sun, has had its 2015 course leaked in an email to Velowire. The eight-day WorldTour event will take place between 8-15 March and features a prologue and potentially a summit finish on the Col d’Eze.
Website Velowire received an official document that confirmed the start and finish cities of 73rd edition, and published it this morning. The only question mark remains over the final day, which will likely be a time trial from Nice to the Col d’Èze.
The organisers, ASO, had already revealed that there would be a 6.7km prologue in Maurepas and they said that one stage would finish on the climb of the Croix de Chaubouret. The next stage was announced to be starting in Saint-Etienne. AS has also picked its three wild card teams to go with the 17 WorldTour teams: Bretagne-Seche, Cofidis and Europcar.
The leaked document virtually confirms the rest of the race. only the last stage is to be confirmed, but many suspect it will be the familiar uphill TT on the Col d’Eze, as according to local media and Nice’s city website, will not be a road stage. The final stage would then be 9.6km long and finish at 501m.
