After two successful performances – in Bałtyk–Karkonosze Tour and Tour of Estonia – CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take on the one-day Belgian event, De Carrefour Market Heistse Pijl. The 1.1 race will be held on June 4.

De Carrefour Market Heistse Pijl features a 195-kilometer course which includes 8 laps, 16,6 kilometers each. The profile is quite undulating and the roads are in some cases paved with cobblestones. For that reason, a bunch gallop is less likely. In the previous years, the race has usually ended with a sprint from a small group.

Despite the fact that the race was not part of the UCI calendar in the past, it drew some of the biggest names of cycling. Tom Boonen and Greg Van Avermaet were among those who claimed a win in this event.

in Belgium the orange squad will be led by Maciej Paterski. He has shown solid form at Bałtyk – Karkonosze Tour, which wrapped up a few days ago. The Polish rider won one of the stages, finished in the top 6 every day and took 2nd overall.

The line-up for Heistse Pijl includes some of the fastest riders in Poland – Alan Banaszek, Eryk Latoń, Bartłomiej Matysiak and Grzegorz Stępniak. The latter will enter the competition in good shape and with victory in Tour of Estonia under his belt. Kamil Małecki, Josef Cerny and Adrian Kurek will try to make their presence known by aggressive riding and attempting to get into the breakaways.

Line-up of CCC Sprandi Polkowice for De Carrefour Market Heistse Pijl (1.1, 4.06):

Maciej Paterski, Grzegorz Stępniak, Bartłomiej Matysiak, Eryk Latoń, Alan Banaszek, Josef Cerny, Adrian Kurek, Kamil Małecki.
