Even though we are jet to receive the official confirmation of this information, according to Spaziociclismo Franco Pellizotti will ride for the Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela next season, enjoying an undisputed leadership in the Italian squad.

Pellizotti was expected to extend his contract with Androni since team manager, Gianni Savio, has already emphasized that their roster for the 2015 season would be built around the 36-year old rider.

“I have always felt comfortable in this team and we reached a verbal agreement with Gianni Savio long time ago, it was only a case of formalizing some of the details,” Pellizotti confirmed, according to Spaziociclismo.

“Franco Pellizotti will be our road captain again next season. We are setting up a competitive training and bringing new riders capable of following moves of our leader on board,” Savio revealed.
