Pierre Latour and Jean-Christophe Peraud will lead Ag2r at the Tour de l'Ain.
"It's always a pleasure to ride near mye home," Peraud said. "After a troubled season with a search of form and my crash at the start of the Giro, I need to regain some confidence and pleasure in the race before my last grand tour, the Vuelta a Espana.
"Recently, I have had good sensations in training. Now I want to translate it into the race. In April, I found reasons for satisfaction at the Tour of Trentino and I hope it will happen again in the Tour de l'Ain. This race hass been successful riders from AG2R La Mondiale for several years. I hope til will continue.
With Romain Bardet (overall winner in 2013 and 2nd in 2014), John Gadret (3rd in 2013) and Pierre Latour (3rd and stage winner in 2015), the AG2R La Mondiale team was on the podium in the last three editions of the Tour de l'Ain.
Samuel Dumoulin knows the Tour de l'Ain perfectly . Indeed, his early career was marked by a victory io the first stage of the 2001 edition, just before his 21st birthday.
