While the pro continental license was still uncertain, Neri Sottoli decided to put the negotiations with Alessandro Petacchi on hold. After the team has been granted a spot at the pro continental level, they have resumed talks with the Italian sprinter.

Neri Sottoli's roster for the 2015 season has almost been finalized. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport there is still an open question regarding Alessandro Petacchi. While there was uncertainty about the team's pro continental license, the team had put the negotatiations with the eperienced sprinter on hold. Since the license for next season has now arrived, the parties have again resumed their discussions and both are reported to be very interested in a future collaboration. However, they still haven't agreed about the financial details.

After having worked for Mark Cavendish in 2015, Petacchi wasn't retained by the Etixx-Quick Step team. He has made it clear that he wants to ride for another two seasons where he wants to use his experience to support young sprinters.

The workforce of the Blacks - Alé is substantially defined in view of 2015. As reported by the  BBC,  however, still remains standing negotiations with Alessandro Petacchi , who had been put on standby in recent days because of waiting for the issuance of the license by the Professional of 'UCI . Since license for next season has arrived, the parties now will come back to discuss this possible transaction, for which there is a strong interest on the part of both parties, although still lacking an economic agreement.
