Wout Poels won't do Wednesday'sOlympic time trial in Rio de Janeiro. The Dutchman crashed in the road race and injured his arm. The decision was made in consultation with the medical staff of TeamNL and the Dutch federation.

Tom Dumoulin will the only Dutch participant in the time trial as Bauke Mollema and Steven Kruijswijk have taken no time trial bike in Brazil.

Poels had a disappointing road race as he was dropped even before he hit the deck.
