According to Algemeen Dagblad, Filippo Pozzato will compete in the upcoming Staatsloterij Six Days of Rotterdam. The 34-year-old Italian will ride with Jens Mouris.
Race director Michael Zijlaard is pleased with the participation of the Italian star. "I do not expect that Pippo is going to win, but with Jens’ experience, you never know, of course. Maybe those two can make a surprise,” says Zijlaard.
Pippo Pozzato has no contract for 2016 after he was not offered an extension by Lampre-Merida. He has been linked to Southeast and has reportedly reached a gentleman agreement with the Italian team but there is no official confirmation yet.
