In the schedule of races for May for Lampre-Merida there will be not only Giro d'Italia, but also Tour of Japan.

The Japanese race is an important appointment, especially considering the exposure of the team image in the new cycling fronteers and the passion of the Japanese fans.

Blue-fuchsia-green technical staff selected six riders that will be for sure able to honor the race in Japan: Filippo Pozzato, at his first race after the Belgian Classics, will be the team leader and he'll have on his side Niccolò Bonifazio, Valerio Conti, Luca Dodi, Andrea Palini and Luca Wackermann.

“Filippo Pozzato will obviously gather the main attention, but I'd also like our young guns to become protagonists – sport director Vicino explained – In Japan, the young cyclist will have the chance to have freedom to exploit their skills, it will be important they could fulfill the expectations”.
