Today was another good performance for Domenico Pozzovivo. Fifth at the end of the time trial in the Giro, the leader of the Ag2r La Mondiale team has strengthened his position in the standings, confirming himself as one of the strongest climbers in this Giro now almost at its end. 

At the end of the second day of "nearly three days of hell," he welcomes "having consolidated the top five" showing himself to be "satisfied" because of his location in general classification with respect to his initial ambitions, while showing a bit of regret because he “lacks the stage win." 

However there are still a possibility, with the fearsome climb of the Zoncolan, particularly suitable for a rider of his size: "There's still tomorrow's stage – he told RAI - We'll see who will be able to recover better."
