The preparation has not started in the best way for Georg Preidler who will have to put aside the bike for a few days.

On social media, the Austrian of the Sunweb-Giant team showed  a photo where his face was damaged due to a crash which happened during training with his teammates. Preidler has hurt his left cheek and the chin. The exact nature of his injuries is not yet known.

"Could have been a better start into the new season. Look like a potato after that nasty crash here in training camp," he wrote.
