At the Superprestige round in Zonhoven, Sven Nys rode a clever race in the shadow of Wout Van Aert, but eventually missed out on the podium. The Crelan-Euphony rider rode the final lap around with a flat tire."I could not change, otherwise Lars [van der Haar] would have passed me," Nys told Play Sports.
"I come out oft he pit and felt that I had a slow puncture. I could not change, otherwise Lars would go past me. But I could not force the pace in the curves. I had possibilities in the last lap, but I could not grab them. Very unfortunate," said an honest Nys."One person stood out, but I would have expected that from Van Aert. If anyone can run well, it's him," Nys said. "When he rides off by more than a minute, you can say that he was head and shoulders above the rest, yes."
