After Fernando Gaviria and Rodrigo Contreras, a new Colombian could follow the same path as his compatriots by joining the Quick-Step team.
According to Coldeportes Claro, 20-year-old Álvaro Hodeg who was the revelation of the Colombian team this season, has passed medical and physical test in Belgium a few days ago in order to join the Quick Step team as a stagiare in 2017.
Having taken 12th at the U23 Worlds, the Colombian has proved solid speed and he has taken three victories for the Colombian team in 2016. His team claims to be happy to allow one of the riders to make the jump into the elite of world cycling.
