Jens Debuschere won the bunch sprint in yesterday's Omloop van Het Houtland. His nearest challengers were continental riders Timothy Dupont (Roubaix) and Coen Vermeltfoort (De Rijke) who both talked to Directvelo after the race.
"It was really a difficult race," Dupont said. "The wind was strong and there were many attempts to attack. It was clear that Lotto-Soudal would play the card of Jens Debusschere and then you know that the race is going to end in a bunch sprint. I decided to take Dehaes' wheel. Early in the season, I was not at 100%, but I'm starting to find my sensations. Next year, I will ride in another team, but I do not want to publicly declare which team it will be. "
