Though the transfer season and freedom to make commitments officially kicks off on August 1st, the period of contract renewals and negotiations has been in full swing for several weeks within the cycling teams.  This applies to IAM Cycling as well. 

The Swiss professional team has already announced its decision not to renew the contracts with Sylvain Chavanel and Jérôme Pineau, while it has also extended the contract of its leader Mathias Frank for 2016.  Today, Michel Thétaz, the founder of IAM Cycling and the CEO of IAM Funds, is forced to announce the departure of Sébastien Reichenbach (26) at the end of the 2015 season. 

“Our aim was to keep Sébastien Reichenbach within the team for 2016 and to give him more opportunities to confirm himself as a leader in stage races.  Unfortunately after discussions with him, we have not reached an agreement to continue the collaboration that we started from the inception of the IAM Cycling team in 2013.  I would like to wish him the very best for his future career and his desire for a new challenge.”
