IAM have been forced to make a last-minute change to their Tirreno-Adriatico roster. Vicente Reynes is suffering from prostatitis and will be replaced by Matthias Brandle in the race that kicks off with a TTT later today.
Vicente Reynes will not participate in the Tirreno-Adriatico with the IAM Cycling team which will be led by Thomas Löfkvist. Not having yet recovered from the prostatitis complicated by a urinary tract infection, the Mallorcan rider will have to forfeit this important event after he had already been forced to withdraw from Het Nieuwsblad and Kürne-Bruxelles-Kürne earlier this month. Vicente Reynes will undergo additional examinations at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) in the coming days. The team’s managers have called on Matthias Brändle to take Reynes’ place at the last minute.
