Joaquím Rodriguez (Katusha) continues his preparation for this year’s Tour de France.
After yesterday's test in the wind tunnel in Silverstone, in Great Britain, Rodriguez kept on working on races against the clock as he went to Mont Saint Michel in France today in order to test the individual time trial stage together with the team trainer, Sebastian Weber, and the head of Sports Directors, Valerio Piva.
"We did the whole course of the 11th stage,” said Weber. Valerio Piva and I followed “Purito” with the car. We started in Avranches and ended in Mont Saint Michel. The first thing we checked was the pace to keep; while in the flat part we tried the new position we studied in the wind tunnel in
order to test it.”
"It was very important to come here and check the course,” explained Rodriguez. “It will be a very demanding, technical stage, especially during its first part: in fact, in the first 15 km there will be many ups and downs. The second part, instead, is flat, and the aerodynamics will be the most important thing."
