Le Tour de France is getting closer to the Pyrenees, but IN Montauban the sprinters have another opportunity to win a stage.
For Thomas De Gendt this will definitely be a day that he will never forget, as he will wear the polka dot jersey. He and his teammates are aiming for the victory with André Greipel.
Jürgen Roelandts is one of the members of the sprint train that will have to lead Greipel to the finish line.
“Today is probably a new opportunity for a sprint, the last one before the rest day," he said. "Because we didn’t win yet, the pressure is of course growing, but we have a team that should be able to cope with that. It’s a bad idea to panic, at the Giro it also took a few days before we won for the first time, but a victory would of course be welcome. The past week we showed that we are all in good shape, we raced well and are waiting for the icing on the cake. At the meeting we analysed the finale well and divided the tasks. It’s all about getting to the front in the right moment in these hectic Tour sprints.”
