Unfortunately, there won't be any Roma Maxima in 2015 as the race has been cancelled due to organizatonal problems. At the same time, RCS Sport have announced the 18 teams that will be at the start of the Strade Bianche.
This year there won't be any cycling photos from the Colosseum. Due to organizational problems, RCS Sport have decided to cancel the Roma Maxima which was scheduled for Sunday, March 8. Despite the appreciation of the fans and the successful participation of teams and riders, the troubled path of the former Giro del Lazio continues after it returned to the calendar two years with its new name. Before that, it had been absent from the calendar since 2009.
At the same time RCS Sport announced the teams that have been invited to the 9th edition of Strade Bianche, which will be held on Saturday March 7th - starting from San Gimignano and finishing in the amazing scenery of Piazza Il Campo in Siena.
12 UCI WorldTeams and 6 UCI Professional Continental Teams will take to the start line, each with eight riders:
