In the Coppa Bernocchi Eduard Grosu took 9th place in the sprint behind the escape of the day. In the morning the renewal and extension of his contract with Nippo-Vini Fantini until the 2017 season was signed.

The Nippo Vini Fantini team had a great satisfaction in Coppa Bernocchi as Eduard Grosu in a great condition. He was third in the sprint behind the six escapees, beaten only by Nizzolo (Italian Selection) and Bonifazio (Lampre-Merida).

The 9th place came on the day of the extension of his contract with the Nippo-Vini Fantini team. The rider was linked to the team with a two-year contract. With this extension of the contract he will be with also during the 2017 season.

For the young talent from Romania it gives him time for a further growth. After many places pf honour during the current season like the 5th place in the Giro d’Italia, 2016 could be the breakthrough season.
