With some good results, almost riders on the attack every day and a strong performance from a collective standpoint, Roompot Orange Peloton can look back on a successful Post Danmark Rundt.
From the opening stagem the selection of Jean-Paul van Poppel made their intentions clear. In a stage with rain, wind and echelons, Ivar Slik attacked and Raymond Kreder sprinted to 8th. One day later, Brian van Goethem was part of the break and Michel Kreder launched an attack in the final in Aarhus. His brother Raymond was 14th.
In Thursday's stage to Vejle, Mike Terpstra was in the break. After a thrilling finale, Matti Breschel grabbed his first of two stage victories and Maurits Lammertink finished 11th. One day later Lammertink did better with 7th in Frederiksværk.
After a good ranking 17th in the time trial, Brian van Goethem was again on the attack in the final stage. The Dutchman who was very active in the race spent about 100 kilometers in the leading group and was only caught in the final kilometres. In Copenhagen, Tinkoff-Saxo underlined the supremacy. Morkov won ahead of Breschel while Juul-Jensen took the overall victory. Raymond Kreder sprinted to fourth. The fast rider now has 16 top 10 results this season.
