For the first time in its existence Roompot-Nedrlandse Loterij will ride in Australia. The ProContinental team will be at the start of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and the Herald Sun Tour.
From 2017, the Great Ocean Road Race (January 29) is part of the UCI World Tour. The Herald Sun Tour (1-5 February) is a stage race with 2.1 status.
"It's not only a great opportunity for our riders to perform at a high level early in the season, but also a recognition for our young team. The organizers see us coming. Moreover, the races in Australia have beautiful courses and are well organized," said sports director Erik Breukink on the team's website.
