"The tactic was to join the breakaway to help Aru in the final."
Those were the words of Diego Rosa after stage eleven of the Giro d'Italia. With nine nine riders, Rosa remained on the attack for more than 100km on a rainy day. He finished fifth at the finish line on the autodrome Enzo e Dino Ferrari of Imola.
Fabio Aru is still second in the overall classification, 3s behind the leader Alberto Contador of Spain. Mikel Landa is third and Dario Cataldo fourth in the General Classification with a delay, respectively, of 46s and 1m 16s from the first place.
