After being linked with Bora-Hansgrohe and BMC, Diego Rosa looks set to join Sky on a three year deal, who are set to have their clothing made by Italian company Castelli from 2017 onwards.
“For sure, I’m going to leave Astana,” Rosa said after placing second in Lombardia. “I haven’t say anything about my future so far because I wanted to show some respect to the Astana team while wearing their jersey. Now my season is over I’ll be able to say something in the next few days and talk about the future.”
Sky have been linked with Rosa since before the Tour de France, and as the season grew on it became more apparent he was not interested in penning a new deal with Astana.
Sky have already confirmed the signings of Lukasz Wisniowski (Etixx–Quick-Step), Tao Geoghegan Hart (Axeon) and Owain Doull (Wiggins). Kenny Elissonde of FDJ has been heavily linked to the team too.
