The current national road champion, Miguel Angel Rubiano, confirmed that he extended his deal with Team Colombia through 2015 season. The South American expressed his belief that he can still positively influence a development of the squad supported by country’s government and surprise the world of cycling with his brilliant performances next year.
Rubiano has won only one event in 2014 – the national championship road race ahead of Winner Anacona (Lampre-Merida), but claims that the best is yet to come. And he aims to improve on his previous results wearing a black Team Colombia outfit.
“I will stay here [at Team Colombia] for the next year. I still believe in this project supported by the Colombian government,” said Rubiano, according to Spaziociclismo.
