Rusvelo continue to build their roster for the 2015 season. Today the team have announced the signings of a talented Russian climber and a sprinter.
The RusVelo team have announced signing of two young riders, both coming from the ITERA-Katusha continental project.
Mamyr Stash is 21 and rated by the experts as one of the most talented Russian sprinters of the younger generation. Fast legs have always been in great demand in Russia, historically very few bunch sprint specialists made it to the top level. Mamyr Stash won three stages of stage races this season, also taking the Tour of Kavkaz points jersey.
Ildar Arslanov is 20 years old. He is a climber, won the junior Russian championships road races twice, placed second in 2.1 Giro di Basilicata and took an uphill ITT in the Giro della Valle d’Aosta earlier this year. Unfortunately, a heavy crash at an Italian one-day race cost him a leader’s role in the World championships, but his rehabilitation program has been going ahead smoothly.
