Sacha Modolo is the Italian rider who won the most races this season. The Lampre Merida rider began the season in January at the Tour de San Luis.

He won a stage on Argentine soil. In February, he won the Trofeo Palma and Trofeo Ses Salines and a stage of the Tour of Algarve. During the VDK-Driedaagse De Panne, he raised his arms twice. He also competed in the Tour of Switzerland (stage win) and recently in Tour of Beijing (stage win). However, he has never finished in 2nd or 3rd.
