The line-up for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne shapes up to be excellent. For the first time since Thor Hushovd in 2011, the world champion will be at the start of the Belgian opening classic on Saturday, February 29 in Gent: Peter Sagan returns for the first time in six years. The Slovakian is also scheduled to ride one day later in Kuurne, according to a report in Het Nieuwsblad.
With Tom Boonen, Greg Van Avermaet, Philippe Gilbert, Alexander Kristoff and Sep Vanmarcke, the field for the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad is very strong. Trek-Segafredo will also be present for the first time but Fabian Cancellara will wait until February to decide if he will do the Belgian opening weekend in his final season.
