With his many dominant showings, Peter Sagan has seemed to be at ease when winning bike races but this year's Tour de France has been a hard for the Slovakian. Despite winning the green jersey, he was unable to bag a single stage victory and he is keen to point out that nothing is easy in the professional cycling world.
Peter Sagan won the green jersey for the third year in a row when he finished 9th in the bunch sprint on the Champs-Elysees. However, it was another missed opportunity for him and he ended the race without winning a single stage.
“I'm very happy to be once again on the podium of the Tour de France, for the third time in a row," he said "I haven't won a stage but I'm satisfied with the green jersey.
"Every year is different. I'm happy with the form I had during this Tour. When I win, people say that I easily win but it's not true. This Tour has reminded everyone that I don't easily win bike races.”
