Agent of Peter Sagan(Cannondale), Giovanni Lombardi showed up in Dubai, some may guess he's there to talk with Fernando Alonso. Lombardi, however, denied the speculation that his client has agreed to sign for Fernando Alonso's new team. In fact, Lombardi said that there won't be any news on Sagan's future, at least before Paris-Roubaix, according to cyclingnews.

"I'm here because I like Dubai. I didn't even know that Fernando Alonso was here. I'll be happy to say hello to him, just like I've done with lots of other team owners and management." And Alonso is not the only potential partner for Peter Sagan, as Lombardi adds, "I also talked to Patrick Lefevere at Omega Pharma but I've got several riders and I'm always talking to teams."

"My answer to any questions about Peter's future is that there's zero, zero, zero news. Nothing has been decided. At all. I'm going to sit down with Cannondale at the start of March for talks but before Paris-Roubaix there's not going to be any news," comments Lombardi.

Sagan's contract is up after 2014 season. Sagan himself, revealed that Fernando Alonso's team already offered him a contract about one month ago. Previous rumors said the Slovakian will earn over 3 million euro per year if he accepts the offer.

Peter Sagan is now riding in Dubai Tour, in order to prepare for his spring campaigns, including Paris-Roubaix as well as the obvious Milan-San Remo and Tour of Flanders, with Sagan himself being the number one favorite in the later two according to most bookies.
