“As a sport director, I'm responsible of a group of around 30 people during a race. We get info coming from everywhere. From the riders, staff, organizers, the office, sponsors and so on and we need to coordinate everything so the race and the activities around it runs smoothly. Furthermore most of the time we are in foreign and quote different countries which means we have to be able to communicate in different languages. I try to manage everything just driving the car but it is really not possible,” says Guidi to teamsaxotinkoff.com.
Do you think the team will be successful in the season to come?
“We know we have strengthened the team significantly. However, I was impressed by the openmindedness and enthusiasm showed by all the new guys during the recent team building. This will make everything simpler. My feeling is that the next will be a great season.”
What are you looking forward to the most in the coming season?
"We have a fantastic team and I don't only refer to the riders. The expectations are obviously huge but I prefer to just focus on my job. At the end is trough simply doing the job without getting nervous that we get results.”
