Those were the words of Michele Scarponi after stage four at Tirreno-Adriatico. Scarponi and three riders escaped into a 20-second breakaway before the final climb, but a strong peloton captured the escapees and cancelled the Astana tactic before the finish.
Vincenzo Nibali moved from 14th to ninth overall, 31 seconds behind the stage winner and new race leader Wout Poels of Holland.
