CCC Polsat Polkowice team made the next step to enter the WorldTour ranks in 2016, starting their cooperation with public relations agency Max.Com Sport Management which is expected to strongly support their ambitions from next year.
The Italian company is expected to change an image of the Polish Pro Continental squad as well as support transforming their roster into a competitive enough at WorldTour level by attracting new sponsors and first-tier riders.
“The value and potential of Polish cycling has grown significantly following the success of Michał Kwiatkowski at World Championships in Ponferrada. The title won by Kwiatkowski should encourage sponsors in a way exceeding a purely sports dimension,” said Max.Com Director Massimiliano Catasca, according to Naszosie.pl.
The last orange team in professional peloton will race under the CCC Sprandi Polkowice name from the 2015 season, with four Polish riders bolstering their roster: Michał Paluta, Jakub Kaczmarek, Piotr Brożyna and Eryk Latoń.
However, rumors circulating in Polish media related to cycling suggest that Stefan Schumacher (Christina Watches – Cuma) might join the team for the next season, as well as one more Italian rider and Grega Bole (Vini Fantini-Nippo).
