Mirko Selvaggi has announced his retirement via a post on Facebook.
The Italian rider who turns 32 in February was not offered a new contrac by Androni Giocattoli which he joined earlier this year. Selvaggi failed to get a victory during his career but he has spent four years in WordlTour teams as he rode for Astana in 2010 and Vacansoleil from 2011 to 2013. During those years, he finished the Giro d’Italia twice.
