CyclingQuotes: At first, Serghei, how are you?
Sergey Tsvetcov: Thanks i am good! Ready for the Giro d’Italia!
CQ: This season, you joined the Androni Giocattoli Professional Continental team. What can you say about this team?
S.T.: I am very glad to be in this team. It is a really pro team. Everyone knows his job. All riders are very nice, everyone are serious when we have to be and we have a lot of fun to ride together.
CQ: What did you retain about your first part of this season ?
S.T. : During the first part of the season, I had to ride a lot of races. It was a pleasure. I could gain experience in European races. I had been selected to ride a lot of race in many countries.
CQ: The Giro d'Italia will start in a few days. How did you prepare this race?
S.T.: Of course, Giro d'Italia will be my first three-week race. I have done good block of racing in spring. I have also enough time to recovery before we start Giro. I hope that this grand tour will be a success.
CQ: What is your goal? The general classification or a stage win?
S.T.: At first, my goal will be to finish the race. Then, I have to help my teammates who will chase results like Franco Pellizotti for the general classification and Oscar Gato for a stage win. Of course. I am looking for to take breakaways and why not the one will go at the end.
CQ: Did you examine a mountain stage that you want to win?
S.T.: Not really, I had just the time to spot the stage 18.
CQ: In your mind, who will win the Giro d'Italia?
S.T.: It is difficult to bet on one rider. I think that Richie Porte is very strong. But cycling looks like a lottery and everyone can be lucky, or not. For example, remind you the 2014 Tour de France or Tour de Romandie this year.
CQ: What may you tell us about your Giro teammates? Franco Pellizotti will be the leader. What is his goal?
S.T.: Everyone is very motivated to do the best. Franco is a very nice person. I would like to say that he is very calm. I think he will be good form to make results.
CQ: What can we wish you for the Giro?
S.T.: I think luck for sure, we will have to need.
