Lampre-Merida have announced another key signing for 2015 season. Colombian climber Jose Serpa has signed a one-year extension of his contract with the Italian team.
In 2015, Lampre-Merida will again be able to count on one of its best climbers, Jose Rodolfo Serpa Perez.
The Colombian climber has reached an agreement that will see him ride in blue-fuchsia-green again next year, his third with the Italian team.
The "Lion of Bucaramanga" was born 35 years ago in Corozal and at 35 years of age has done 9 seasons as a professional he played nine seasons between the professionsiti, getting 35 hits. This year he took one of his most prestigious victories when he won the Trofeo Laigueglia
"The confirmation of Serpa is very important to keep a high quality the group of climbers. Jose is a crucial rider due to his experience, cycling qualities and reliability and has always been ready and effective in the most prestigious races," said team manager Brent Copeland. "The role of the Colombian at the side of his captains will be invaluable, like his ability to act as a wildcard. The success in the Trofeo Laigueglia is aproof.
