From the second to the eighth stage of this Giro d'Italia, Androni is the only team to have had a rider in all breaks.
The star of the day was Franco Pellizotti who joined the right break after the first break with his teammate Gianfranco Zilioli had been caught. In the final stages, Pellizotti was dropped as he was again affected by cramps on the final climb.
It's the third time the Italian has been dealing with that issue in the race.
